I use this with my Camp Chef Pro 60 car camping. It grills really well but I am disappointed about the grease drain. I tested it out on my back porch by grilling some burgers. The tiny grease reservoir is way too small to hold any grease at all so it overflowed dripping grease all over my Camp Chef 60 Burner, inside the stove, and onto my wooden deck - making permanent stains!!! The small puddle of grease in the trap at one point actually caught on fire. Very poor design in my mind. If you look at how Weber Genesis does it, the grease reservoir is not exposed to heat because it's UNDER the fire - so there's no chance of catching fire. Also in the Weber the grease doesn't "pool" anywhere OVER the flame. It all runs down into the reservoir.. So I made a couple modifications to the Camp Chef BB30L. First I drilled a hole in the bottom toward the back of the grease reservoir. I then drilled a hole in the bottom plate of the Camp Chef Pro 60 that lined up vertically with the hole in the BBQ. Then I ran a wire with a hook on the end down both holes and secured it to the reservoir. When installed the wire hangs vertically from the grease reservoir with the hook UNDER the Camp Chef about 5". There I secured an old tin can to the wire hook to catch the grease. This wire acts as a "chaser" wire to direct the liquid grease down the wire. Now when I BBQ, I set up the stove so it's tilted a little back so the grease runs out the hole, down the wire and into the tin can. No more grease fires, overflowing grease reservoirs, and stained decks!

I preferred this to the "other" single burner BBQ offered by Camp Chef. The locking hinged lid makes it convenient for carrying and moving the unit around, whether packing it or setting it up.The temp gauge is a nice touch too, some have said that there's have stopped working, but they are easy to change out and there about $5 if mine ever stops working. It's plenty Big too, I cooked 4 16oz Rib-eye steaks at one time and the cast iron grates seared in the flavor for some of the best steak.
Well-Built, and made to last. Some have mentioned something about handles melting, but I think this is an installation issue. There are 2 metal insulators the go BETWEEN the handle and the lid and its easy to assume that they go on the inside of the lid, so read the assembly instructions. The only CON I could think of and it's not an issue for me is weight, It's not for Ultra-lights, but I don't care.
